Firewatch (2016) MicroReview

Gorgeous art style, taut direction and impressive level design make this one of the more compelling game experiences I’ve had in a while. Script and voice acting are superb, and are wrapped up in an engaging mystery- even if the destination can’t quite make good on the promise of the journey. Plus, it knows exactly how long it needs to be without overstaying its welcome- one of the most important things a video game can do in my book. Absolutely worth playing.
