Rockstar has announced today that they are releasing a full set of house beats by Trouble & Bass, referred to as the Trouble in Brazil Mixtape, for fans to listen to for free on their Soundcloud page. Traumatized witnesses may recall this as the music playing when Max Payne shot up their favorite São Paulo dance club while fighting off a group of terrorists, in a night they aren’t likely to forget without professional help. Although sources say Max Payne has typically been listening to a steady diet of Los Angeles rock band HEALTH, he has been known to delve into the club scene on occasion.

“This kind of place made me want to puke. I needed a real drink to deal with the electronic music and the robotic people,” said Payne when asked about the club’s atmosphere. Eyewitness accounts have also heard him sharing his thoughts on the club with local mogul Marcello Branco, “Look at me, I’m standing in a night club, listening to music I can’t stand, I’m 5,000 miles from home, I’m armed and I’m drinking.”

While Max’s account isn’t favorable, anyone who knows him (who isn’t already dead) can confirm that his accounts of most things are unfavorable. You can decide for yourself about the music at Rockstar’s Soundcloud page, or listen at the embedded link below. When asked for further comment about the club’s music, Mr. Payne stated, “You bet your ass I was [drinking]. You try staying in there for five minutes sober!”
