Deus Ex: Human Revolution Picture Book

Deus Ex: HR Live Picturebook

I don’t play many RPGs, and those I do play usually bore me to tears. Deus Ex: Human Revolution has that X-Factor that makes me keep wanting to come back for more. Part of the entertainment value is the weird crap that happens, and I’ve been keeping a log so you can join in on the fun. Keep checking back for live updates as I continue through my journey!

I was literally in the MIDDLE of talking to the girl in the center as all three of the people in her group spontaneously bust out into The Creep. I turn around and everyone on the busy China street is doing The Creep as well. At this point I am saddened that there are no available augmentations to let me join in. Future DLC maybe?

So get your knees flexin' and your arms T-Rexin'...

I enter a room in China to find the NPCs wearing pants so immaculately white that they are unaffected by such mortal concepts as light, shadow and texture. I ponder whether I am in heaven. Then I immediately quit the game.

And after labor day too? Really, guys?

I realize now that I tend to play this game like a serial killer, killing guards and meticulously propping them up in their chairs so as not to alert their friends. Maybe my Adam Jensen should get help?

Hey man, I ever tell you the one about the three guys who wake up ass to mouth in an air duct?

A Very Uncomfortable Place...

I spoke to this guy in the sewers of detroit. He seemed normal enough…

Until I came back to find him in this stance. Some sort of weird workout routine maybe? Hey, gotta keep that arm strength up to catch your dinner before it scurries away right? By the way, he’s still never changed back.

He also likes to buy games in Steam sales, only to play them for a few hours and never touch them again (perhaps “likes” is the wrong choice of words). Deus Ex: Human Revolution might be the game to finally break his curse. Nick’s username on Steam is SpikeDelight.
