Batman: Arkham Origins (2013) MicroReview

Competent, if largely unnecessary ‘Arkham’ prequel. A few very well-presented story beats, mostly involving Troy Baker’s character, though much of the game’s narrative feels half-baked. Additionally, considering this game takes place years before the other Arkham games, I see no reason why it shouldn’t have been a period piece- a lot of interesting things could have been done with such a change. Worth playing through for some of the story concepts, but don’t expect anything to rock the boat.
